State Fair Market Steer / Heifer Tags
For all junior exhibitors who are taking Market Steers and/or Market Heifers to the 2023 State Fair of WV, your tags have arrived at the Preston County Extension Office and may be picked up there between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, except holidays (office is closed March 30).
Instructions for tagging and taking photographs will be provided when the tags are picked up. Photographs of tagged steers/heifers must be submitted no later than April 6, 2023. Call the Extension Office at 304-329-1391 if you have any questions.
Small Market Animals
Anyone who plans to take a small market animal (lamb, hog, goat) to the State Fair MUST call the Extension Office by March 23!!!! They need your name, species, and number of animals, phone number, and address.
The maximum number of animals that may be tagged are as follows:
- Hogs: 2
- Goats: 2
- Lambs: 3
Remember to call before March 23!!!
