Building a Legacy for Future Generations
The Preston County Livestock Association is thrilled to announce the unveiling of a conceptual design for an innovative agricultural complex and show arena to be constructed on the site of the current Cow Palace at the Buckwheat Festival Fairgrounds.
This vision represents a powerful step forward—not only for our association, but for the entire county—embracing progress while honoring the agricultural traditions that have shaped Preston County for generations.
Our Vision
This ambitious project sets out to provide a state-of-the-art venue for agricultural events, youth development programs, and community gatherings. The new facility is designed to provide a safe environment for exhibitors, spectators, and partners.
With adaptable spaces to accommodate livestock shows, educational workshops, and our large-scale festival, the complex will become a cornerstone of agricultural education and celebration in our region.

Partnerships for Progress

The Preston County Livestock Association recognizes that bold initiatives require the collaboration and support of dedicated partners.
We are excited to announce our partnership with the Kingwood Volunteer Fire Department, whose commitment to community safety and service aligns closely with our mission. Together, we are laying the groundwork for a facility that will not only serve as a hub for agricultural advancement but also as a resource for emergency response and public safety during large events.
Ensuring a Safe and Bright Future

Safety stands as a cornerstone of this project.
The new arena and complex will incorporate modern safety features and best practices, ensuring the well-being of all participants and visitors. With improved accessibility, enhanced animal welfare standards, and robust infrastructure, the facility will set a new benchmark for agricultural venues in the region.
Growth for Youth and Community
At the heart of the Preston County Livestock Association’s mission is the goal of fostering growth in our 4-H and FFA youth members through hands-on agricultural experiences, mentorship, and leadership opportunities. This new facility will allow for a dramatic expansion of our educational programs, offering young people the chance to learn, compete, and thrive in a supportive environment.
By investing in this complex, we are investing in the future leaders of agriculture and in the prosperity of our entire community.
A Call to Action
A project of this magnitude requires the ongoing support and enthusiasm of many partners, stakeholders, and citizens. We look forward to working together to realize this vision—one that will benefit Preston County for decades to come.
